Omg guys, I'm so excited--my Heartbreak girl is here, I added a pic of her to my first post...she isn't done yet, but I love her. I will say one thing though, her nickname was to be 'Callie' but this girl will NOT stand for that-she means business! Also, she was going to be either Myr's twin or younger sister, but there is noooo way. She is definitely an older sister type, I think.

I wonder if they should change the picture, so people don't think it's so sad looking. My bf reckons my Lily is a totally different doll to the one on the site. Can eyebrows really do that much? (Rhetorical question )

I agree.I didn't choose the heartbreak face because I couldn't get past the expression. It's a versatile head and looks great when not painted to look like it's crying
Shankula she is definitely no nonsense.

Okay, after I finished her faceup her name didn't fit...has anyone else had that happen? Anyway, her name is now Camellia, and I put her pic in the gallery!

I just wanted to say how gorgeous everyones Narae's are! Narae is my all-time favourite sculpt, I love all her different expressions. I posted her picture in the mini intro thread, but here's a picture of my Narae (she's 2/3 face and tanning skin)

I have a 2/3 faceplate Narae too, her name is Clarimonde. I love her because from a lot of angles she just looks angry! This is a less moody photos of her and the Narin boy I used to have.

Atomicbunny, somehow Clarimonde reminds me of an oldtime movie starlet...she is one hot tamale!

So cute! Does Hitomi have freckles? I'm considering trying freckles on my incoming girl. ^_^;

I have a Tanning Butterfly Narae named Heather. I plan to get her a Heartbreak faceplate in a few months. The painters at Narin Creative are wonderful, they did her face the way I wanted it to be. Here's my girl at the gallery:

Yes, Hitomi has a bunch of freckles across the bridge of her nose. I added those myself with a colored pencil.

I would be intrigued to see if anyone has turned the classic Narin faceplate into a girl. I love his Asian look and if that faceplate can be translated into an Asian girl I'd buy a Narae in a heartbeat (despite my fear of yellowing french resin!)

I've definitely seen a classic Narin girl! I can't remember whose it was though! Maybe others here can help? Most of the 43cm Narin faceplates can translate pretty easily I'd think, I've seen quite a few Narin girls.
As for the resin, don't be scared! I've had my Narae for over a year now, and she's not yellowed all that much. There is a slight change on parts of her that have been more exposed, but you have to really look to notice it. I haven't really done anything special other than not leave her sitting out in direct sunlight all day. I've heard of people keeping their dolls in boxes for this reason, but if I pay the money for a BJD I want her to be visible! Hehe.
