How to use User Groups!

User Groups are all about community, and all about finding out the people that you want to make friends with -- whether it's because you share location, a common interest, an age group, or something else altogether.

How To Use User Groups
Simply visit the Group Memberships page in your User Control Panel! (You can reach this page at any time by clicking 'User CP' in the top navigation bar and then 'Group Memberships' under 'Miscellaneous' in the left navigation bar.)

Here you will see a list of all the available User Groups. You are free to join (or leave!) any of these at any time. Simply click the radio button of the group you want to join, and press 'Join Group'. (Unfortunately, you can't add multiple usergroups at the same time due to the way Vbulletin is set up, so you'll have to add them one after another. Sorry about this!!)

Once you've joined a User Group, you will automatically have access to that Group's special sub-forum. Simply check in the 'Your User Groups' sub-forum. You should now have a sub-forum listed with a name that matches your newly joined User Group, and you are free to enter and post to your heart's content.

The User Groups on this forum are meant to be here to foster community spirit and making friends, and as such, OT conversation and chat is allowed and encouraged! Of course, it would be nice if we could keep the focus to dolls (with the exception of the OT discussion group, which really allows anything at all!) but don't worry too much if you stray a bit from the path, and don't fret if you seem to be posting a lot of chat. That's what the User Groups are there for.

Group Leaders
Each usergroup will be assigned at least one Group Leader; bigger User Groups may have more than one. The Group Leader's job is merely to keep an eye on discussion. If a Group Leader feels that discussion is getting out of hand (fighting, too OT, etc) they will bring it to the attention of the Mods. They may occasionally say "please be civil" or "this may be too OT" and you would be obliged to listen to them; but largely their position is to mediate directly with the Mods so that the Mods can decide how to handle situations.
Group Leaders can be recognised by the following icon under their avatar in threads:
Group Leaders are chosen by the Mods based on suitability. If you are interested in being a Group Leader of an existing (or in-petition) User Group, or would like to nominate someone for the position, please feel free to PM a Mod.
If you feel that a Group Leader is abusing their power, being overly strict, or behaving out of line in your User Group, you are welcome to bring up the situation with a Mod to discuss.

User Group Moderator
Your dedicated User Group Moderator is Merry! Her focus on the forum is primarly the User Groups and your enjoyment thereof, so please PM her if you have any troubles with the User Groups or questions regarding them.
