Making my own BJD! Help?

Hi everyone, I'm currently in the process of making my own bjd and I was hoping to get some feedback and some help on making decisions. All my updates will be posted on this thread.

Most Recent:

If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or critiques for me please post them.

Future Plans:

I'm hoping to make a series sort of things with these dolls being based off of the elements (Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire) and I'll be making a sort of stylized kimono for each of them. Anyways, the first one will be water and her name will be Mizuko (water child).

These are my plans for the body. Ignore the face lol.

Questions:

I want Mizuko to have blue hair but not blue eyes because that would be too much blue (I'm crazy about things being not too matchy-matchy) so what colour eyes do you think I should give her?

Should she have double jointed knees? I think they're nice but I'm not sure if the pose is worth it and every time another joint is added it creates a break in the piece that makes it look more unnatural. :S

Is there something I should line her sockets with to make posing better? Ribbon or leather or something?

So many questions. :P

I'll probably be posting any other questions or progress updates here so if you're interested in giving me some feedback, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry I don't have tips since I've never made a doll, but the sculpting is nice and the torso is adorable. I love the idea of the matching elemental set!
As for the questions, I hate double joints myself, so I biasedly vote that she have single, they're just prettier. And for eyes, orange could be fun, or maybe a reddish plum purple?

@Napoleonchan
Yeah, I'm not sure if the double joint will be worth it. And plum purple for the eyes might look really nice. :O

@Akachan
Thanks. The more guides the better, I'm basically going into this blindly.

Yeah I've found a few useful guides, especially this one: http://translate.google.com/translat...oll.com/howto/

the translation isn't the greatest but it covers a lot.
