Question Now that I have a Doll on order...

Hello, Now that I have a Doll on order (due to arrive in the Oct/Nov timeframe) and I've found and ordered a wig, what else do I need for that first doll?

Does the doll come with eyes? Clothing? Shoes? A faceup?
You might want to consider buying a doll carrier and restringing supplies aswell!

The doll comes with eyes and default faceup. I've read others mentioning a protector of some sort for the head so the wig doesn't slip?

When I get a wig cap, do you order the same size as the wig? Sorry I'm so full of questions.

Yes, a wigcap often prevents a wig from slipping, although it isn't necessary.
Depending on the darkness or vibrancy of the wig, you might want to get a wigcap
anyway to avoid staining. I recommend that you remove dark and/or vibrant
wigs and clothing from your doll when (s)he's not in use, to prevent this aswell.

You should order it in the same size as the wig, considering wigsizes usually are
marked as the amount of inches that it is.
I'm happy to help you with any questions you might have!

Smile Now that I have a Doll on order...

Possibly a doll stand?
I'm looking for a place that has them for SD and MSD size dolls.

Mintoncard has stands from two manufacturers. I don't even have my doll yet and I've bought so many shoes, wigs, stockings, eyes and outfits...head cap....etc...etc...

This is optional, but if you can, you could get some MSC (Mr. Super Clear) to help protect your doll against sunlight and stains. Of course, yellowing is inevitable, but MSC helps slow it down. It's also good to have Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on hand incase something gets on your doll, that stuff works like a charm!

Now you probably have the doll. What did you buy prior to owning it?
