Volks Yukinojo re-release! Who else is excited about it?
Hi Folks,
Who else is stoked about Yukinojo's re-release?! I've been in love with this guy since his debut in 2005, but couldn't justify getting him because at the time I thought he'd be out of scale with my SD13 Madoka/Shizu "Passion"...and besides she and I have Heath...
But as the years passed I'd look at the SD17 boys and wish for more uh...heft... Now he's back, and on a beautiful new GOU body, and we're only a few days away from being able to pre-order Yukinojo from VolksUSA!
How many others here are bringing this new Joe home? Inquiring minds must know!

No one's excited?! Wow.....that's unexpected....just listen to them chirping crickets...well, I don't care, I'm still over the moon that Volks made this marvelous male available on pre-ordered!

Its great to see him re-released! I still have my original "big guy," but it will be great to see some others around! Have they changed his body much?

From the sneak peak photos I've seen, it does appear that the Gou body has been given more muscle definition than the original SD16 boy body...which is still a beautiful body in my opinion. Some members on DoA are insisting that Yukinojo's head has also been resculpted, but I can't tell from Volks promo photos. I'm looking forward to some side by side owner comparison shots.

A little follow up....my SDGou Yukinojo arrived a week ago, and he's amazing! From comparison photos posted on DoA, the sculpting of his body is much more detailed than the original SD16 Yukinojo, and new Yukinojo also looks a bit taller. His head seems to have been resculpted too, but he still looks like himself. I'm overjoyed with my Joe, and he was absolutely worth waiting all these month to get from Volks!

This is very late to join in this, but through a recent string of Providential circumstances, I now own both Yukinojos. I had to pass up the original preorder offer for SDGou as I was just getting through the payment shocks of entering the hobby with two SD16 girls bought almost be back-to-back. Anyway, I had managed to snag the older Yukinojo a little after New Years. He was a bit floppy, so I got my baptism of restringing & hot glue sueding on him. The later "Gou" version showed up on ebay recently at near the preorder price, so I didn't hesitate. I had originally intended that any guys would be props to show off and/or escort the ladies, but these two are definitely not going to just passively reside in the background. They both seem to have their own intentions as to the manner of their gfit-in" here.

Congrats on getting both versions of Yukinojo! I think they are some of the most handsome guys Volks has made, and real stand-out in any collection! Which SD16 girls did you get? Between my husband and myself, we've got three so far (Ruby, Ami, and a Madoka hybrid), and I'll be picking up SD Gou Beast at IDEX in April!

I, too, finally managed to get an original (SD16) Yukinojo this past January, after 7 years of yearning. I don't feel any need for another one, though. At least, not yet!

For SD16 girls, I (we) have collected Ami, Olivia, Johanna, and Megu. I managed to pickup a head for Iris and also aquired her default dress. Finding her box & body are proving to be very illusive, so I'll settle on almost any reasonably priced SD16 body I can find.
I agree that the Yukinojos are great looking guys. I'm thankful they came along when & how they did. I just couldn't bring myself to accepting an SD13 as a companion for the ladies, however now maybe one can be fit in as a younger brother. Right now, I'm smitten with the new MSDG Chloe & Liz. Aaarrgghh! Prices are increasing almost as fast as the national debt.
Enjoy your trip to IDEX, and congratulations on your Beast!

Hi N2, You've got some beautiful SD16 girls! Thanks for your kind congrats about my upcoming IDEX trip and Beast aquisition! I'm counting the days until I get him! I know what you mean about the new Midi girls...for a moment I before Volks announced they would be taking pre-orders on the Beast for IDEX attendee, I was going to enter the lottery for Chloe, and Belle. While Belle looks too young to me to be coupled to either Beast of Prince Claude, I think she's a lovely stand alone doll. But as you said, these doll's prices are too high right now. Also I prefer to buy directly from Volks now.
