Come here, all ye with great appreciations for Gentaro Araki's masterpiece, the U-noa!

So. Who's waiting on a girl/two from this pre-order? I've got a Lusis on the way, and I'm beside myself with excitement because I've been wanting one of these girls for almost 3 years now..

I gave up almost all my other dolls in pursuit of my first loves, and I'm planning atleast four characters that are all going to be personified as U-noas, and then there's endless possibilities for modified faceplates, and new and new guys keep popping up with every new faceplate I modify/paint.

Just wonder if Mr. Araki ever comes out with more characters for the Unoa 1.5 (I doubt it though, but the thought is exciting). :p One could say there is always room for improvement, but to me the U-noas there are now are perfect! <3

Would the U-noas count as addictive? My verdict; yes!

I have a Unoa 1.5 Lusis and a Unoa 2nd Mocha! I love them both so much. :D My poor Lusis needs a decent face-up, but my Mocha has one by Araki himself! I'm trying to get ahold of the new Unoa Zero in the lottery too. *cross your fingers for me*

I bought a Lusis (yet to be named) during the pre order. It doesn't really feel like she's "mine" though. I think it's because I've wanted the Unoas since they first came out a couple years ago, and never thought I'd get one. I'm hoping someone will be willing to let go of their sist for a decent price when the kits start coming in, in a couple months, so I can have them both ^_^. Until then I'm quite content to oogle other pretty unoa girls.

I love my Sist. I originally had a v1.0 Sist last year, but I had to sell her to help pay off my dog's surgery. ;/ (I think that dog has cost us around $4k in vet bills now, good thing I love her!)
So after I got my tax returns back this year I stalked Y!J and found a 1.5 Sist for only 30,000 BIN. Apparently she was one of the lottery unoas, the owner had failed at trying to put her together, and just ended up selling it. I had to do a lot of fixer-upper work, but she was well worth it. I'm so glad to have my Sist back. @_@

Major kudos to you guys that stuck around with the pre=orders. I do not have the patience for it. I've bought both of mine on Y!J. I refuse to pay the huuuge mark-ups on them, but I'd rather just pay $100-200 more to get it now instead of 6 months down the road. D:

I'd love to get an Unoa Zero, but I've never had luck with a lottery. I'll just sit and hope they decide to do an actual order one of these days. (and give me plenty of time to save some cash for one!)

I have a Lusis on order from Crescent, but it may be one too many. I will just have to wait and see. I sometimes wonder where I will be in a couple of years, will I still be enamoured of Unoas? I suppose that is the beauty of this hobby--change is ever present.

Rillystar-- thank you! Yes, I painted all the faceplates except the Lusis with the earrings. It is kind of fun to see them altogether!:heart Actually there is no L-bi faceplate, just Lusis and Sists.

I've got L-Bi. He arrived at home about two years ago, I believe ... shortly after the boys were released. Sist 1.5, my first female Unoa, arrived two summers ago. I've finished assembling, but have to do some sanding, some blushing, and a faceup for my first Lusis 1.5 with large milk part. She arrived in January of this year. I'm expecting another one of those cheeky little Lusis lassies from the last pre-order. I've got an assortment of unpainted face plates, and I'd like to get the other boy if/when a preorder materializes.

I love unoas to pieces. I own a lusis myself, which I got during last year's preorder. She has a Lusis sleeping face plate which is waiting to get painted. I also preordered one of the new Unoa Lights and am currently looking for cute 1/6 scale clothes for her to wear :heart

I'd like to see more interesting option parts for the boys. I am kicking myself for not picking up any faceplates during the parts order, I refuse to pay double the price even if I really want the sleepy B-el and L-bi faceplates.

With the proper modding, I think L-bi's sleepy face can be turned into the L-bi "O" face. :shifty

I've got a Unoa Lusis & Sist 1.0 version from the first preorder. I actually hated them both for quite a while (<_<) because I'd wanted to make Lusis a boy, put off modding the body, and didn't have the money when the boy preorder came up. By the time they arrived I was breaking from the hobby, the resin was so slick and difficult to paint the faceups looked terrible, and going by the instructions the body was so floppy and unwieldy. I'm slowly getting them back out and trying to get them fixed up so I can decide whether to simply make Sist a girl and such.

Alchemic lab is very slow in general, I recently won in the Japanese Lottery for leftover option parts and I have paid about 15 days ago and my items have not been shipped. :cry
The dolls for the preorder ship depending on what you ordered so If Crescent sends all the dolls at once instead of in tiers we will be the last to get our dolls because we have to wait until all the shipping tiers in Japan are over.

Crescent could be emailed to ask if they are waiting until after they receive all the dolls before they ship but it seems that they aren't saying anything in regards to the preorder other than we will inform you when your order is ready to ship.

I actually think more about the wait for my Unoa Zero more than for the Unoa I ordered in July aha. Because I already have an unoa I guess its easier not to worry about it.

A note was posted on OSF that Crescent is beginning to get the first of the June Unoa pre-orders in. They hope to have them all packaged up and mailed out by December 15th or so (I might have that date wrong -- it was either the 13th or the 15, but can't remember which).

Edited on 12/14/07 ... Check your email, folks. I have now received my email from Crescent. The new Lusis will be shipped on Monday. She should be home within a week, barring unnaturally slow holiday processing times.

They're in. Remember to use a mask when you're sanding them, folks. Resin dust is bad business, whether or not you have respiratory issues (allergies/asthma). Happy holidays!

According to Alchemic Lab after they are completely finished with the 6th Period Unoa Girl order that they will start on the main stock for the boy order (in case of main sale - the type where everyone who orders and pays gets a doll- they make dolls before the order starts and after the orders are received) The date is not decided. Last time I checked (in November) it still said they planned to be doing the boys preorder the same time as U-noa Zero was being sold from Dolly Bird but the all 4 Hobby Japan/DollyBird lottery dates have passed I wonder why It took so long to update.

The Schedule page also says In 2008 there will be a Japan only Lottery for Girl dolls that were not paid for. I was lucky to win all 4 faceplates I wanted in the last Japan only Option part Lottery. Maybe I will try for another girl as well... so many faces not enough bodies *_*

For Alchemic Lab lottery you have to be a resident of Japan, be able to communicate in Japanese, and be able to wire money to Japanese bank account.

Crescent shop is the deputy service that deals with international orders for Alchemic Lab but they do not do lottery anymore they only do Main sales.

I had my Friend who lives in Japan enter lottery for me, I'm sure there is probably a deputy other than crescent that may help you with lotteries but you will have to find out when they are and most time that means finding out the info on your own. Sadly other than Volks limited dolls and Dolls Party not to much information on dolls, doll related magazines or doll events reaches the forums and if they do the information is so late.

To show how important it is to look for your own info..
just in the last 2 months I ordered Unoa Queer Dream, and Entered the Japan only option part lottery finding out about both on my own days before the deadline. Queer Dream has been on Ebay 3-4 times for $90 ~ $150 +shipping when the mail order price on their official web is about $15 with shipping included. And the face plates in the Japanese lottery for leftover option parts cost me 4200円 each (around $37 USD) but the parts pre-order by crescent shop In March they cost 47.50 each (and I didn't have to wait forever for them)

Lately every Lottery sale has been for Japan only (possibly due to AL's convenient Japanese webshop). And the reason Lottery sales ship fast is because they are parts or kits that are left over from another sale or preorder.

digikym - Have you set up your an account at http://www.crescent-shop.com/ so that you will be ready if an international lottery or preorder happens? Just make an account there - it's free unless you want to bid on Yahoo!Japan auctions (and there are many services to choose from for doing that). After you make your account, put the word Unoa in the Rare Item box in your Crescent profile, and save your profile. Then, whenever there is news about international Unoa orders, you will get an emailed copy.

I have one Unoa Lusis from the summer 2007 preorder. And I have 4 other faceplates which I unfortunately did not get in the previous offering of parts (I thought it would be foolish to buy the faceplates before I had a Unoa, kick me please). So I ended up paying a premium price for them on DoA, Ebay, and Yahoo Japan.

1. Digikym

After you create your account at http://www.crescent-shop.com/ edit your Profile there and put the word Unoa in the Rare Item box. Then you will get email whenever a regular international Unoa order is imminent (the sales are usually normal pre-orders though some lotteries in the past have been offered internationally). As AENEAS said above, you can't enter the Japan-only lotteries unless you have a friend in Japan who does it for you. And the only thing won in a lottery is the chance to buy a Unoa or parts at full retail price from a limited group of leftovers.

There should be an international Unoa option parts order announced soon through Crescent (it is listed on Alchemic Labo schedule and sounds like a main sale).


2. Unoa's real measurements

I have always thought the Unoa FAQ measurements were unusual (too even inches and 1/2 inches, hips too big to fit in the same pants as Narae, etc.) And the FAQ measurements have propagated elsewhere, sometimes converted to cm with hips over 20cm. These are my own measurements (done with a narrow tape with no hard tip):

Height: 42cm (I need to double-check that with a stiff yardstick)
Head: 17cm
Neck top: 6.6cm (most neck measurements are in a random place though)
Small bust: 16.5cm
Large bust: 18cm (above bust 16, below bust 14)
Waist: 12.7cm
Hips: 19cm
Foot: 5.3cm (straight down middle from length of longest toe to as far back as any of the heel goes, the same way people are measured for shoes).

Can anyone check those on a 1.0 body? I have a 1.5.

I don't own one YET (I just pre-ordered a Lusis plate) but I have realized that all the Unoas are my dream dolls. I am getting an L-bi in the upcoming pre-order, and would get more if I could afford it. There's just something about them! Plus, I love the naughty but humorous aspect that Mr. Araki injects into his dolls. "Yawn" face, haha :p And I will get to scare all my friends with tiny (and uh, not so tiny) doll penises! (Note: this time not the ones I make out of putty on my own time)
