I was going to take some pictures of Ruby in the new clothes i made her. And of course, I posed her with Nate and a gust of wind came along and knocked them both over. Nate was fine, but the tip of Ruby's pointy little nose got a huge chip in it.
So, my question is this. When you're sanding a chip away in a delicate area (Ruby dosen't have a whole lot of nose to work with....) how do you do it? Do you sand the flaw away first and then shape the area, or do you work on shaping and sanding the flaw away at the same time? I've gotten the worst of the chip out, but there's still a scratch on the tip of her nose, and i'm afraid to sand much more because she just dosen't have a whole lot of nose.

Is there no way to fill it up? As in using some kind of sculpting material to repair said area and then blushing/painting it to match the rest of the resin?

Arh, I'd say reshaping and sanding at the same time, I think you will have a better hold of symmetry etc.

When you have such a limited amount of nose to work with, I would try to fill with epoxy. It would be easier to fill in a gap than to sand away too much and have to rebuild with less=(

Depending on how deep the chip was it either use epoxy or Mr. Surfacer and sand the area, then airbrush over to match the color.
