4D - Wigs

I'm always curious about the quality of the fiber in a wig when I buy from a new place. I like the finer, thinner strands like Leeke has provided in my experience as opposed to the corser fiber I've often seen in LUTS wigs. I hopped on Sola's recent 4D order and am happy to say that the wig quality there is as high as their clothing. I really like it; the fiber is quite soft and the coloring is pretty spot on from their photograph.

If you're a fan of the fiber Leekeworld uses, you'll like the quality of 4D's wigs.

The only problem I've ever had with Leekeworld wigs (and others) is that the cap of it can be a little loose, causing it to shift on your doll's head unless you secure it somehow with something like velcro. The 4D wig seems to fit pretty snugly (not too tight, doesn't shift around) on my DELF boy's head. I think it's one of the best fits I've ever picked out. It's too bad they don't have a larger wig variety; I'd be tempted to replace my crew's wigs here.

hmm...I bought 2 wigs from 4D...one was great the other was wiry fibre that didn't sit too well. So 50-50 from me. The styles are interesting as are the colours but I prefer much finer fibres for synthetic wigs. The one really coarse wiry wig was very different from the other 4D wig so I suppose it depends on which one you buy (much coarser and wiry than any leeke wig or otherwise I've had)

How about cap coverage? I hate wigs that look good, but when you take pictures, you see the weave of the cap too easily.

Mine had bangs and whatnot (both) so the cap coverage was good

All the wigs i've handled had excellent cap coverage; the fiber was nice and soft, too.

I'm sorry to be abit OT but for future reference, watch out when you buy their fur wigs because I bought a purple one from their site (with the help of a wonderful group order) and it was not only a different shade of purple, but also when it's on the dolls head you can see the 'cap' of it ^ ^;;; I may have just gotten a bad one, but the different shade bothered me the most. The pictures on the site showed a deep purple, but the wig itself is actually a light pastel purple :doh

How are their fur wigs? I'm really picky about my wigs; is it synthetic (I am assuming it is)? I really want to avoid that super fake feeling of some funfur.

The fibers of the fur wig I got were very nice. I have tons of fur wigs and the 4D one is one of the best quality wise. But I got mine back when they first started selling them so Im not sure if thats changed since then ^ ^;

Well, I've heard that everything they do is high quality, so I'd assume what you said still holds true... so I'm gonna go get one :3

I just received my fur wig today.:D I had ordered the pink one. It is very soft compared to my luts wig and is a lovely shade, looks just like the pic on the site.
I like the way it sits on my boys head, but I have to play around with it so that it covers the ears the way i want it to.
Oh, and you have to be gentle when handling 4d furwigs;if your tough on your fur wigs like me (I tend to tug on them to get it on my boys head) you'll have to be careful. I accidentally pulled a chunk of fur out!:o iT comes out quite easily...
I may buy more fur wigs in the future based on how long the one I have lasts.

I make my fur wigs. But I was curious to how others thought about other wig companies so dropped in to read. :)
