I know I can't be the only one who wishes that Iple had extended longer it's Tokyo Story line. I found the time for availability they gave to be short.

Some of us can only purchase them one at a time, and considering that it was four models I believe Iple should've given more time.

So I want to know if anyone else feels like I do and what can we do about it ? Iple has a Poll & Forum section but only they post the questions. If a poll about bringing back the line was posted and Iple saw that people wanted it back maybe they would. What do you think ?:oops

Personally, I would like them to just slow down on the limited releases. I liked it when they only did one or two a year. That was enough time to let the finances recuperate, before having to scrounge around again for another new doll.
I'm finding myself having to really think hard before buying, and having to pass up some really great dolls, because they're just putting out so many, all at once. I would have loved to get an Ashanti. And a Light Brown Kamau. And a Benny. And this Tokyo Story Tedros. But... I could only get one, and barely that. So I chose my RS Chase.
Totally happy with him, but yeah. Would be nice if we didn't have to choose just one out of ... ten releases all of a sudden.:tantrum

Hi aernath,

That's precisely what I meant, either bring them back permanently or at least for the remainder of the year. I only was able to get one but would've love to be given the chance to recup to get the other one that I fell in love with.

Seconds.. or thirds.. I just can't justify all those limited, especially with other companies also doing limiteds at the same time!

Sadly brown skin Tedros lost out to a flashy feller from SOOM.

Basics, please. That would be great, now that I think about it.
And you know, if Iple did that, they would still get our money - just later on - instead of not getting it at all, because we missed out on the limiteds.

The Soo and Asa were done in Iple's regular rose white resin and you can always request the Tokyo makeup if you order a basic. They'll also do Storm as a basic eventually and probably again as a limited RS. Since tan Tedros has been popular, my guess is that he'll be rerun as a limited tan sometime and they've yet to do a limited RS Tedros.

The clothes are another issue. But I suspect that they'd never be able to keep such items in stock and they'd sell out like the EID suits.

Other than the RS Noctarcana Circus Limited Edition Tedros?

That's correct but they usually do a later limited RS version of all their NC sculpts.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what's an RS ?

RS is Real Skin, it's a soft brownish tone not quite tan but darker than American or Northern European skin tones. It photographs beautifully. The guy in my icon is RS.

You're right about Soo and Asa when it comes to their resin color, sadly for some reason they decided to make Tedros and Storm different in that way. :(

When you think about it, what Iple seems to be doing is really counterproductive for them in the end. Few are really going to be able to acquire any collection of theirs like Noctorcana or Tokyo. No matter how gorgeous they make them, and they do make them gorgeous and realistically human, unless they make their period of availability more extended and flexible, most are going to skip the headache and just opt for the basics.

Thank you toshirodragon, I feel quite silly right about now. I'm not yet familiar with the jargon or abbreviations.

Ohhh it's no worse than SOOM's monthlies. I think the market for exclusivity is strong right now so more companies will make limited.

I do agree on the counterproductivity, because SOOM really loses a chunk of income on the secondhand market sale but it's their choice.

You're welcome. It takes a bit to learn the jargon.

I'd like to see them do tan or something like a lt tan as a selectable standard resin tone, but that's because the white is too white, but their NS is ALSO super pale (since I've been haunting all the threads of Paku like a fiend) from what I can see. So I really do want either an RS Iple guy when I get too him in my list, or hopefully they come up with some sort of mid-point between a tan and the NS. XP Otherwise I'll just save forever until I can hit an RS sale for a Chase. XD Tedros is awesome, but not me.

Look at the TWO new offerings for the Noctarcana Circus! Both look tan to me. Ugh.

I know it sucks when you miss out on a doll you really want, but that's kind of the point of a limited. I missed out on Iplehouse Benny, and that still stings.
But they're special because there's only a few.

With CDS it's not nearly such a pinch unless you really, really love the LE outfit/accessories.

As much as it can be depressing to miss out on a great LE, I like LEs and prefer they not be overly re-released.
