username does not meet standards?

Hmm, my friend just tried to join this forum today but it won't let her sign up. She received this error message:

"That username is already in use or does not meet the administrator's standards. If you are shirou_oh_sakura and you have forgotten your password, click here."

I'd like to know what's wrong? She's kinda attached to that username, it's something she's been using for several years now.
