I'm considering making a bedroom/nursery for my tinies (a Cherish Doll and a YoSD.) Though I'm fond of dollhouses, I'm not sure how to go about making a living space for dolls of that size. Does anyone have suggestions about how to go about creating creating the walls, finding appropriate sized furniture and other props?

Requiemart (http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/dollhouse.html) has some info on how to make your own dollhouse.
He also posted pictures of his.

There are several books I have found at my local library on making rooms and furniture using "foam core" and hobby wood. Also, I have found that the furniture and room fold outs from Angelina Ballerina (the American Girl mouse) is a good size for my 10" dolls (Little fee, DZ Ani, ShinyDoll and CH Ange). I have a round table with chairs, bed, chest etc. I found them at a garage sale but I bet you could check out ebay!

Requiem is a she. ;)
When creating a living space, it depends on what kind of effect you are looking to create. Do you want your dolls to look like children or like chibi adults? If they're supposed to look like kids, 1/6 scale furniture is perfect and available for cheap off-the-rack. Spray paint them if you're not a fan of pink! ;) Re-ment furniture (and of course the miniatures; food, stationery, etc) works well with Cherish tinies, not so much with Yo-SD sized dolls. Dioramas can be made by wallpapering ordinary book shelves (they can't be open in the back, though) with in-scale wallpaper or scrap book paper. Beds are easily made from a cardboard box filled with a foam mattress and covered with a fabric of choice. Posters and wall pictures can be made by printing real posters shrinked to scale, by drawing them yourself, or by cutting parts from real photos.

I'm with Birdie... dioramas are definitely the way to go. They take up very little space, and are easy to photograph. Seeing as this thread is old... have you made one :D?
I've made some, and I can definitely swap tips.

Tinies can also fit in lots of ready made doll houses scaled for Barbie...you can use the frame and customize it to suit your doll better by changing the wallpapers and adding rement furniture. I'm pretty sure YOSDs can fit, but I agree rement furniture might look a bit off. If you did make one, I'd love to see too! :)
I purchased a closetmaid's cube-ical storage set yesterday, and as I was setting it up today, I noticed the little shelving spaces make for awesome (but quite small) rooms for my YoSDs.
I like buying scrapbook paper to use for backdrops when I'm photographing. Many of them look great as fake wallpaper! I was thinking of buying another cube-icals storage unit and taping a few scrapbook pages to the cardboard panels before nailing them in place, because they fit almost perfectly. Then I can have a cute yoSD dorm thing going on.
It's even better if the doll is tinier than a yoSD, but that is the smallest doll I own. ^^;

I agree with Koka. The plastic storage cubes would be perfect because then you can just put "wallpaper" up.

I really like the blue crate condo, Trixyloupwolf! I've got a Sylvanian Families home, off Ebay, and it works for my Realpuki and my Amelia Thimble. Now...not sure how the Pukipuki I'm waiting on will work in it.

I think it's green, and I know which one you mean. Yeah, I lucked out on the free shipping. Some houses are dirt cheap, but the shipping is ridiculous!
Thanks! I need a little more furniture, and I'm going to make that room next to the bedroom a playroom.
Now that my doll buying extravaganza is over, i can focus on the house...hehe!

This is awesome, love seeing all your little doll-houses and rooms <3
When I get my yo-sd I wont be down scaling as he'll be a little child, though I do want a few select pieces of furniture like chairs and a little table in scale for his size to be in his bedroom.
