Suggestion:product review section: mods!

With all the various companies, dolls, clothes and accessories out there how about starting a product review section?

we could split it up by dolls/outfits/other (craft materials, cases etc...)

ex:

"I just bought these (insert pic or product #) shoes from Volks. On the web site they look very red, but they are really a cordovan leather look i.e. brown, but they are very well made and cute, but just to let your know they're not the color they appear to be."

Or, "i just bought this outfit from seller x on ebay. It is really nice but the auction says it fits SD13 girls with a large bust and it did nto fit my nono13....yadda, yadda....

If we could do it wihtout resorting to flaming, maybe it would be useful. I know with very limited release items that sell out fast it may be of limited use.

It would also be distinct from where people go to report problem transactions. It would just be item reviews not "beware this seller's a scammer" posts.

Actually, I think that's a really good idea. I know that pictures online aren't always representational (of colour especially), so it'd be really nice to have a resource to go to.

Even a stickied post would be good, but a subforum or something that could be split up by category would be even better...

This would make a great user group, I think. With all the new doll companies, it would be nice to have a particular place to go for reviews.

Also, maybe having a section saying what different clothes fit what dolls? I know I was pleased to find that the oddly sized LatiDoll Red-line boys fit Dollzone 70cm clothes.

It'd also be nice if it was like the news forum in that no chatting what allowed other than question and answer.

I think this would be great! I love reading nicely written up, user experience reviews. I know I see clothing on eBay, for instance, modeled on a MSD and the listing says it also fits Unoa and I have to wonder exactly how well. :sweat So I'd like to see more in depth write-ups that include fitting and possibly even example photos if someone wished to go that far.

I agree, I think this would be beneficial to folks, especially when we're thinking of getting something, but are uncertain as to the quality. Great idea, imo!

I'd definitely recommend something like this.
It would benefit the security of the marketplace greatly.

Hopefully they can be very active too because I tend to see reviews only when something is bad enough worth writing about. Happy people usually leave feedback and go on their merry way.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. I know I have gotten a couple wigs that I wasn't happy with. I felt they weren't as full as they could be. The one I'm thinking of was actually a default with with my Hewitt. I wasn't sure if maybe it was just the one "I" got or all of them. Bravo for this thread!
