Naked dolls!

Am I a freak? Sometimes I think my dolls look coolest running about naked. Does this make me a nut? (And sometimes they pose better without those restricting clothes...)

The poor darlings have been nekked since I unboxed them and honestly, I'm beginning to think they look better that way. Their body sculpts are really neat--that's one of the things about bjds that I like--not just the faces get attention from the sculptor. However, my guys don't really hang around naked. They wouldn't like it (except Anwynn--he doesn't care if he has clothes on or not), and it would make me cold just looking at them, lol.

I prefer my Rei-Tenshi sans clothing because she looks cuter that way, IMO. Since she's is a genderless angel, it doesn't look odd to me. (I call her 'she' since I don't want to call her 'it.')

As for my larger dolls, perhaps for very few exceptions I can think of, they all wear clothing in photos. :blush

But in genral I like to make sure my dolls are always wearing clouthes. Though it does freak me out how they are still wearing them when I go to sleep. I just figure they should be sleeping too. :sweat

Mine have been in the same boat until recently. On my last trip to the Volks store in LA they finally got enough outfits that they at least have a yukata and socks. Most of the time they are in the slips and panties that they came with. For several of the first meet ups they went that way.

Yes, I agree. I think the sculpts are what pulled me in. I love to look at the details. I remember posting once about the skin bump under the front of the arm and being able to feel the ribs, but not really see them. It’s the art of the original that the resin captured and the time the artist took in making it that stand out. Nude dolls are ok by me. You can’t see these details if they are all covered up with clothes.

My guys and ladies certainly have clothes to spare, but they generally end up in various states of undress because I have so many sewing projects going on, and I need victims, er, models to try stuff on. ^^; I don't mind, as I really like all their bodies! ^-^ Poor Xiahou Dun, though, he's ended up living shirtless, because the Super Gem men's body is too yummy for words. And Valletta, she just seems to prefer being half-naked. I think Dreaming Lishes must be exhibitionists, because Wotan has had a similar difficulty with his Lishe. ^^;

I almost never put shoes on my crew when they're sitting around the house. I hate wearing shoes myself, why should I make my dolls suffer? XD

After I wash my dolls, or change their clothes, I let them sit around naked and spend time posing them, because it is a lot easier to get them to hold poses without their clothes on, and I like to remind myself that my dolls really aren't that floppy and difficult. Their body sculpts are really nice, and very different from each other, and I enjoy admiring them for a short while.

I don't like to display my dolls naked, it makes me think they are cold... They are so wonderful, so they should be photograped naked. I can't explain this exactly,but I like them dressed. This is summer now so they wear short dresses with a panty. :)

Me too. But I do like then naked when I'm dressing them or measuring them for a new pattern. I let them sit for a bit naked.

It depends on what they are doing. Some poses are better with less fabric and I love how sexy some of my "adult" dolls are. But the little ones always HAVE to have clothes on and they tend to stay in their area if the adults are having "sexy picture" time.

Somehow I feel my dolls are incomplete when they're naked, so they never stay naked for very long (even though the body markings on one of my dolls is a very deep rooted part of his character). I suppose I'd rather not just leave them naked, I mean-- after all the bucks I dropped on their clothes in the first place, better put them to good use.

I will certainly take a moment to admire a naked doll for a moment - they're just so lovely! But I don't usually leave them naked unless I'm sewing too. For the same reasons others have stated, modesty and that they look cold! But I do love clothes that show off how gorgeous they are!

I don't normally display my doll naked. If my doll doesn't have clothes at the moment than I keep her in the box until they do have clothes. Feel awkward went they aren't dressed.

Also, still live at home. So I keep them dressed in case my parents need my room for one reason or another. Or in case, we have company that my parents didn't feel the need to warn me about beforehand.

But there is a rule breaker, animal dolls. I have no problem with animals dolls being naked or barely dressed. I suppose it's because animals are suppose to be naked.

I usually always have clothes on my babies. There is something to be said for the nude doll. I can see the lines of the dolls better better naked and really appreciate the lines and form of the figures.

I think doll nude photos etc., can be fascinating because of the joints vs realism aspects of these dolls, but my crew are dressed 99% of the time. There are only a couple of my resinified characters who would enjoy being naked, and one of those wouldn't want to do when kids are around (and most of my crew are kids). The other one wouldn't go out of his way to hang out naked, although has appeared in a photostory that way *L*.

As others have pointed out, it also makes them look cold if they have no clothes on ^^;.

Moswen, Jaiseki and Jolen are perfectly fine being nude. I swear that Moswen actually poses better the less clothes he wears. Kys isn't overly shy being nude, but given a choice, he prefers at least boxers on. Haniel wears clothes around people because he's been told he has to. Kijika... he would die of embarrassment to appear in public nude.

It's a struggle to get Tamas (either one) to button up his shirt. Scaramble,the fox imp, feels clothes are something that happens to "other people" and my Ice Dragon is VERY put out that I insist he at least wear something I suspect in the summer he'll be as close to naked as he can get.

hajime grew up in the South Seas on an island when the weather is good he prefers to just wear his pareu. And maybe his vest if he feels like getting fancy ;)

Tanso would fairy about nude if I would let him get away with it. honestly, he HAS no shame. He's currently sitting on a table wearing his mesh costume dress, and he refuses to take it off, because its as close to nude as I'll let him get right now. >>;

Liina, however, feels offended if he isn't covered from neck to ankles, and has reluctantly succumbed to a pair of shorts in the summer time, because its to hot and he felt melt-y. I promised him a tank top for this year, so he at least has the 'illusion' of being dressed. XD Him I don't mind leaving out half-clothed. He has fabulous abs.

I actually like seeing a lot of the nude doll photos so I know more of what the body looks like, not so much on the girls as the boys though. I prefer my resin boys to be more "anatomically correct" vs the old "genderless Ken" doll look that I had growing up. Its also much better for those artistic shots.

I only have one, but I already know the answer and its a two parter. The first is, my dolls are based off of characters. How they dressed is thus deteremined by their personalities. Murasaki is the truly uptight one. She'd rather be dead than caught naked, anywhere. I think she'd bathe clothed if she thought she could get away with it. Everyone else, clothing is optional.

The second part is, I have a daughter who is 14, she knows what's there but is a prude and doesn't like seeing Murasaki's "parts". So for her comfort and that of the other residents of my home, my dolls will all be clothed 99% of the time except when their waiting for stuff to come whirring off the sewing machine or getting measured.

I love pictures of nude dolls, but I don't necessarily want them hanging out like that on the piano for a week or two. There is just something disconcerting to me about it.

I'm plenty open-minded but I also feel there's a time and a place, and I don't think this thread was it.

I'm fine for this thread to remain as its initial concept, which was the simple idea that the dolls have lovely bodies and are nice to look at naked, but please refrain from the discussion about things such as the measurements of human penises, condoms and other such unrelated discussion, thank you. If you want to take part in such discussions, there are plenty of other appropriate venues to do so.

My 2 MSD girls sit about nekkid a lot. Partially to remind me to make clothes for them...and partially because they have no issue with it! Nightsahde (BBB 15cm Elfkin) is a little demon who...while he HAS a set of clothes, would rather sit about nekkid than clothed until HE decides he wants to be dressed. My twins, Sonya and Sasha, prefer to sit about clothed. But then, they can wear Liv World doll clothing, so they had outfits ready and waiting when they got home. Though...Sonya says she wants jeans to put on under her short skirt.

I like looking at Yllora, my RS Mei, naked, as I just LOVE her body sculpt. Right now it is my favorite body sculpt. So I rather encourage her to stay about the house nekkid most of the time. Shikyo, my BBB Espree, I like to look at sometimes, though her body sculpt is not my favorite. I'll eventually be switching it out for a RS body instead, while getting a different head for the BBB body.

No, it was the simple fact that things very unrelated to dolls and totally inappropriate were coming up in discussion. If I want to read about the measurements of human sized penises, I'll go to the appropriate venue. And that wasn't the only thing that was unrelated and inappropriate -- that's just the most glaring example. The discussion was going in a more and more unwanted direction and based on our own decisions and the feedback of others we decided it was easier to cut the whole thing clean.

If you want to have that sort of discussion, feel free to find the appropriate location to have it. This may be an 18+ doll forum, but the only reason it is 18+ is because we were seeking a slightly more mature level of discussion. There are other 18+ doll venues that are specifically aimed at the sort of discussion that you were seeking in this thread, and we personally would prefer if you kept that sort of discussion to those locations. And judging by the reports we were receiving from other regular users, we are not the only ones who feel that way.

If you don't like it, feel free to take it up with me in PM and "discuss" all you like at me. But bear in mind that the overall opinion of the admins who run this forum will not change. In the meantime, I'd prefer it if this thread could get back to its initial line of discussion. :oops

So I began to keep Kit at home in the nude or with only a pair of white boxer shorts on. Even his wig came off. At first, I thought this would bother me. And then I began to really appreciate the beauty of the Luts body sculpt. Although it was a little hard to get used to seeing him hairless, I now find him utterly adorable bald!

I love the bald head comments. I also first started taking off the wigs to prevent staining. My little troop spends most of the time wig less now. The bald heads are not that bad. :)
