One thing I've noticed is that there seems to be an abundance of some clothing styles in the BJD community, and very little of some other things. What kinds of clothing do you think there needs to be more of? What styles do you feel are under appreciated?
Personally, I'd like to see more delicate and detailed lingerie, and more beautiful flowing formal gowns... The kind of things that drape and cascade elegantly.

I would love to own one of the Fer gowns but I always seem to miss them ^^;

I really loved those Pure Drop outfits at the NY Dolpa, but they were a little out of my price range. ;_;

I would love to see more anthropologie style outfits, and BCBG makes some amazing dresses, short and long.

I would love the complete outfit of serving temple miyaka from fushigi yugi

Oh wow, I was expecting to see answers like "cyberpunk style" or "more graphic tees", not specific outfits... So can anyone post pics of these things, for the uninitiated? What's a Fer gown exactly?

Dollheart Fer gowns come in different colors, every season and this example is Chocolate.

I'm hoping for a pretty pastel color before buying one ^^

Ahh okay! A local friend of mine has that in a pretty light blue.

We need more bobby-socks, saddle shoes & poodle skirts (http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merchandiser/27334.jpg)! I love the fashions prevalent in American circa 1940s & 1950s, but you just never really see it in BJD clothing.
Movie reproductions are also on the *want more* list. I'd so love to see Violet Baudelaire's clothing reproduced for dolls: {1 (http://www.winonlyriders.net/thelostforum/cinema/UnfortunateEvents1.jpg)} {2 (http://www.allmoviephoto.com/photo/2004_unfortunate_events_044_big.html)} {3 (http://www.allmoviephoto.com/photo/2004_unfortunate_events_032_big.html)}

What I would LOVE right now are two pairs of SD13/Senior Delf-sized dress shoes that aren't too fancy, come in black AND white, and AREN'T SOLD OUT. *rage*

More business type suits for the resin girls! I don't know how hard it is to find ones for male dolls, but it's practically impossible to find a non schoolgirl type suit for females.

Ooh, yes, nice tailored suits for ladies would rock. They're just SO hard to sew, I can understand why there aren't many of them.
Another thing I thought of... I'd like to see more suits of armor, or at least armored pieces.

I would love to see more lolita-ish clothing for little boys. most that come out is only for girl. wish they come out with matching pair for boy and girl each time it would be really great ^o^

Ahh, as in oujisama (prince) fashions? Yes, matching sets would be so adorable!

I would love to see more outfits like those just released by Val Zeitler/Dollheart, a little bit quirky but with a romantic feel.

Chanel suits for the girls, bad 70's clothes for the boys (I'm partial), more cute Yo/Bambicrony size things that are 'normal' rather than prince or punk.
Actually, nice adult womanly clothes would be great. My Hazy isn't a loli or a schoolgirl, she runs a business empire...

YES, more business, and more stuff to be mixed and matched!
Mio clothes but in YoSD size. I would kill for well made realistic tight jeans like hers for my Yo boys.
Currently I would love to have washing jean DOI size with hiphop design T_T I don't see it anywhere YoY

Something occurred to me while watching Code Geass tonight... There's a sad lack of good uniforms out there. The Black Knight uniforms are just so slick looking, I'd love to see something as tailored and polished on a doll~

To be honest, I think there's a severe lacking of clothes that fall into the normalcy category. I've seen EGL EGA and various punk styles done to death. I still enjoy and love EGL but everyone seems to own the same thing from the same hand full of companies.
I don't see much in the way of normal hoodies, t-shirts and the average mundane things we actually wear. Lingerie is also very lacking. All I seem to find are see through lacy things or white granny panties. I voraciously wear both but I like to add in some flavor now and again. But then again, perhaps this is where commissioners come in? :kisses

Socks. I like to mix and match pieces so I find funky socks help to make a look more complex and fresh. And I'm not talking stripes, although those are nice, but different colors and patterns as well. A friend sent me some very cute apple socks, for example.
That said, I would like to see more MSD "normal" t-shirts and various skirt styles in addition to the schoolgirl skirt (which is SO overdone!). :heart

I've always wanted a little h.naoto bag for my doll since I have one as well, ha ha.
Sometimes I want cosplay esque items just so my dolls can be goffy and cosplay too, but other then that I kinda like making things for them if I can't find it myself.

I'd love more layering pieces. Most of the clothing that is sold for these dolls is quite limited in style, but I like to mix, match, and pile on the layers. I'd also like to see more elegant and chic clothing like sadol's items.
More fantasy clothes for both SD and MSD sized dolls--particularly more utilitarian type stuff. I've seen some gorgeous dresses from time to time, but I rarely see outfits that look fit to go tramping through the woods in.

A nice modern suit that perfectly fits my big boy DZ 70cm.
I used to shop Dollshe's outfit for him but recently no new design released on any doll webshopping sites. It's sad... he has no new outfit for sometimes now. ;__;

Since I sew I don't need more types of clothes since I make everything for my resin kids. But I do buy shoes. I would like more to see more YoSD shoes.

I'm looking for some casual wear for YoSD and MSD, since I just realized I got way too many EGL styles. Time to make some change. :D

I'd love to have really casual street clothing for super gem and tinie gems... like blue jeans and such.. those are so hard to find :/ its all punk and goth.
I'd also would love to have girly clothing for msds that isn't all lacey and pink...

They have been in my wishlist since I first saw them.

Of course I would love more Baby The Stars Shine Bright but also more h. Naoto clothes from the Frill and Gram collections. I would just die if they did collaborations with other lolita brands like Angelic Pretty or Victorian Maiden.

I wish there were Romani-inspired outfits, or Arabic ones, more "casual" guy looks (jeans and a t-shirt sorta deal), and more tiny-sized clothing in general. ^^

Her collections are just wonderful and she always has a fresh approach with lots of wonderful detailing.
Now if only she didn't make them specificly for Peakswood dolls...
I would like to have suits for all my kids, especially a Mafia-style suit. (But as suit, neat ones, are very expensive, so they're now having only their own a shirt! XD)

My boyfriend and I make leather armor in people sizes for live action roleplaying/gaming type stuff. I wonder if we could make some in doll size or if anyone would be interested in that? Maybe someone already does this?

I think it's quite likely you'd get commissions for leatherwork in doll-size. I think there are other people doing it, but certainly not many, and fantasy dolls are quite popular after all.
I'd like to see more baggy, hiphop or casual stuff. I'd also like to see clothing styles from different countries - in my case, I need a kilt for one of my boys, but I'd like to see other cultural styles, too.
