Subscriptions I don't Want

I was surprised to subscribe to a thread and see I had 27 others already subscribed. It seems any thread I post in automatically gets put under my subscriptions. Is this a bug, or an option I've accidentally enabled, or... ?

It's not a bug! The forum setting's default will subscribe you automatically to threads you've posted in. You can change this setting in your User Control Panel under user details > Default Thread Subscription Mode - set this to "Do Not Subscribe." This will not subscribe you to any threads unless you manually do it. Note that you WILL have to manually remove all current subscriptions the forum has signed you up for manually though, by clicking "List Subscriptions" and checking off the ones you don't want to be subscribed to and then selecting the option "Do Not Subscribe"again from the drop-down menu at the bottom.
