Market Scammers Victims

After reading the long message in Market Forum about Market Scammers I am shocked! I guess I am just too honest and too trusting. I feel so bad for everyone who got scammed. How horrifying!

Now I feel relieved too since I did buy a BJD through ebay. They came here safe and sound but I wished I had that list before I bought them. And I remember seeing a BJD listing that was cheap, badly photographed, AND the seller only took money order. Shudder.

Has anyone here ever been scammed? How did you find out? What did you do? Could you make any resolution? What is the most money you ever lost?

Well, I do some transactions on DoA.
And I have never really had any problems.....
But I have heard some really, sad and scary stories!!!
I would do to denofangels.com/forums and read some of there storys, there is alot more people there, and a larger market place.

I had a trade go really bad on DOA, and i never really got anywhere, tho i did try my darndest to get some legal resolution. DOA did eventually ban her.. but by then she had added a few more names to the list of those scammed....
Its a sad day when people spend so much energy to scam, talents that could be used to far better themselves and this world. I believe in karma as well, so the gal who did the bad trade with me, will prob suffer far worse than my loosing sooah. It was a tough but needed wake up call. i am far too trusting......

I didn't get scammed, but in my opinion, it was a near miss.

Last February, I ordered a head from a one person studio out of Korea (it was NOT Migidolls) and was told 45 to 55 days for shipment. Day 60 rolled around and I emailed asking about the status. She told me there were delays it would ship the next month. Fine.
The next month came and went, got the EXACT same letter back, right down to the misspelled words, when I inquired.

By July I was fed up with the constant "oh just a delay, please wait." non-responses and demanded a refund. Was told I couldn't get one.

Dolls started to ship the following week and I was told I'd get a refund. And then was told I couldn't get refund because I'd complained to Paypal and she account was frozen.(there were two other ladies in the same boat.) So in spite of my emailing Paypal and asking what she needed to do and then relaying those instructions to her, she insisted she couldn't refund our money, because Paypal wouldn't let her get to her money. One other woman told her to Western Union it, but she refused.

Last February, just in time to open another selling period on DoA, she emails asking if I'd take a head instead of a refund. Hell, at this point I'd have taken noodles as long as I got something for my cash.

Sadly, I won't be buying from one person studios, other than Migi, again. I have no interest in going through this again.
