Are there going to be any choices for forum skin colors, like on DoD? I love this place, but honestly orange and gray are not my colors. I am hoping I'm not the only one not in love with the palette!

yes, we already do have a number of themes installed so you can pick one that suits your tastes better. ^__^

Just go into your User CP, and click '"Edit Options" - Scroll down, and the option to switch themes is the last one on that page.

Hope that helps!

Dear God I think my brain just exploded...HOW did I not SEE that?! Okay, off to put on the 'stupid' helmet. :oops

Also, if you want to change the theme quickly and not go through your User CP, just scroll to the bottom of the Portal page or the forum and you'll see a dropdown on the left side. You can use that to change your theme too.

This is one of those threads that I'll look at in the morning and just giggle at how stupid I was...but for NOW, I just cringe and slink off...*snicker*...thanks, and its good to see you here, its cool to see familiar faces.

Thanks Shanky for asking this question. I also didn't notice the little drop down box wth all the choices. And kudos to whoever spent the time coordinating new logos with the different templates! I'm living in "gardena" now and loving it...it's tickling my hidden hippie.

Speaking of loving it, this whole forum seems to have been a labor of love for the owners. What a great resource they are building for everyone. It's such an interesting place to spend time in.

I just realized that the header image is a stylized doll face... after looking at it for hours today. I'm feeling very slow. Now I know how to change the colors too! Who designed the icons and such, I really like them!

Whoa, I didn't notice that either! :sweat Now that you said it, it's so obvious. :p

LOL! It took me a hour to see the face in the header image after it had been created! Leigh/Hitasura designed the forum's logo while Cassiel designed our post icons!

I must have a very good attention to detail, because when I first came upon this website the first thing I noticed was the stylized face in the logo:blush

Lol...actually that was one of the few things that I *did* notice...of course I missed how to change it from the orange, but I saw the face. THATS IT! I'll claim that it distracted me!

Btw, this is a totally o/t thing, but I love your work, it is just delicious.

The color scheme made me think of Hitasura actually. XD Glad I wasn't wrong. Cassiel did a great job on the icons too. I really like the default. :D

I love the skins, by the way, and that you guys spent time incorporating the header into all of them.

And I've been looking at the damn (pretty) header for, what, more than a week now, and just thought it was an artsy ink blot. Where's the dunce smiley? Oh, there he is. :doh

Well, once someone said it was a face, I saw it right off. I had seen the "quick style chooser", but I didn't know what it was! No more gray and orange/gold!

Addendum question to this Forum Color issue.

I changed to Oceanzero, which is very pleasant on tired eyes. However, if I log out and come back in we're back to orange and black. Or orange and green? Resinality.

Is there something I'm overlooking here or is there a bug?

You'll need to set the theme in your user control panel for it to stay. (Using the quick-style viewer at the bottom of the forum will only keep the chosen theme until you log out/close the window.)

Ah! thank you! I finally found it. I had used the quick-style viewer from within User CP rather than the setting in the center of the screen - AT THE BOTTOM. Duh. All is well now! :D

I've tried changing the theme with the options under the User CP, yet it still switches back to oceanzero whenever I click a new link. Am I missing something? :wahwah

Hiya!

We recently had another user who had this same problem... she cleared out her cookies in her browser and when she came back the problem was fixed. I realise it's a bit annoying to do that, but can you give it a try? :oops I just checked your account and it's definitely set to 'dinda' so some messed up cookie settings is the only thing I can think of. :(
