We've been thinking about this for awhile, and so now with a bit of tweaking, and feedback from some of you, we've decided to go ahead with it. :)

Basically, we're revamping the 'social groups' that come with the newest version of the forum software, and utlizing them as 'doll databases'! So, you are now able to start a database for any particular headmold, doll type, or style of doll that you like, and get people to join it, add their pictures, and chat with you about your doll type of choice. :D

The databases use the forum's in-built album content, so anyone can upload their doll pictures to the forum and then add them to the databases. And anyone can then easily browse all the pictures in a database, whether they're a member of it or not! So we felt like this was the perfect way for all of you to be able to easily view many pictures of a particular doll type all in the one place.

To get you started, you can find a few example 'databases' already in existence, some by us, some by you:
Purple Eyes (http://www.abjds.com/forum/group.php?groupid=8) - for Shirou Tachibana
Lucai Lounge (http://www.abjds.com/forum/group.php?groupid=9) - for Lucas, Chris, School A, F-16, F-28 etc family
Pirate Lady (http://www.abjds.com/forum/group.php?groupid=10) - for Lady Sylvie

But of course this is only the beginning! Go forth and create databases! :dance

And if you're unsure of how to create databases, how to join them, how to add your pictures, etc, we've added a 'databases' section (http://www.abjds.com/forum/faq.php?faq=creating_social_groups#faq_why_databas es) to the FAQ complete with what we hope are helpful screencaps to get you started. :)

We've also added a link in the Gallery sub-forums that'll take you directly to the databases to help make it easier for you to access and browse them at any time.

If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns regarding the databases, we'd love to hear them. We're really hoping that this will be a useful feature for you all, but if for any reason it's problematic or confusing, we'd really like feedback on how we can improve it to best work for you. :)
