Hi!
I know the Latidoll Redline uses 14mm eyes, but I'm wondering, do they also work with 12mm? I typically go down one size with eyes in nearly all my dolls, or at least order smaller iris ones if possible, so I'm wondering if anyone has any photos or opinions of the Redline (K, M, L) wearing 12mm eyes instead. (both high/paperweight or low dome opinions would be wonderful!)
I'm interested in obtaining urethanes for Vaughn, but I need to get in on the current group order for EDs in order to receive them in time for a certain event. Last time I ordered urethanes took three months or so... and Latidoll probably won't ship my L until it's too late, so I can't test out the 12mms I have on hand. sigh
If anyone in particular has an L with 12mm eyes or access to 12mm eyes, I'd love to hear from you. But even M or K is great too.
Thanks!

Hey, that'd be great! =( I don't even need photos--just an opinion of how they fit (or don't fit) would be awesome. I'd really appreciate it!

My Lati Red Adel wears 12mm eyes just fine but he does have squinty-er eyes I think. However I do have a floating L at the moment, just holding a few different eyes in him I think the size of the 12mm iris looks okay. From the eyes I have one pair gaps a little on the corners but the other fits better. Unfortunately my camera is broken right now but if I can borrow one I'll try to get some pictures for you if no one else can. :)

Ah, so it sounds like it's the typical "issues" that can come from going one size down in eye, and can vary by the type of eye one has.
No need for pictures since it's so much a bother! ^^ It does sound like the usual situations that come from going one size down in eye, so I can imagine pretty well what it's like. Just some head molds don't really work with the eye-size-down at all (looking at you, AR Kai), but it sounds like the Lati Reds might be just fine depending on the eye itself.
Thanks a lot for the extra info. That helps quite a bit in my decision. <3

Maybe masterpiece eyes would be a good solution. They have larger whites, but smaller irises. You could get 13mm eyes, that would fill the socket better, and the iris would be the same as a 12mm. Eyeco eyes are similar. http://stores.ebay.com/Safrin-Doll_12mm-13mm-Eyes_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ11593853QQftidZ2QQt Zkm

Thanks for the suggestion! However, I'm not particularly enamored with silicones; I seem to have pretty bad luck with them in general (oh my god the dust) and I never liked how they actually look in person.
I know with LG glass eyes (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149788), I can request a smaller iris with the larger size, as with my Seimei (looks horrible with 16mm, but the 18mm with the small iris he has works wonderfully!), so if push comes to shove and 12mm urethanes are just not cutting it, I decided to go that route, especially since LG eyes offer a lot of fantasy-style colours.
Honestly, I just need the damn doll to get here. >.> Sometimes I think I got into the wrong hobby with all this waiting.

I don't know about Lati Redline, but I have two Lati Blues, and they wear 10mm, but can wear 12mm. I myself prefer the smaller eyes.

You can try ovals. Here is my L with 12mm ovals. He looks a little strange, but that may just be because of his eyelashes not being curled up or the fact that (as I just realized) the eyes are in crooked. x.x'

These eyes are actually for my MiniMee, but they are the 12mm eyes that the LatiDoll Aida came with.
He actually looks a lot more lifelike with 12mm than the 14mm he came with. o.o
Edit: Okay, I just put his 14mm back in and I can officially say I LOVE the 12mm in him. The next time I'm in Greensboro I am certainly picking up a pair of 12mm green ovals.
