I've been meaning to post this for a couple of days but I have the attention span of a goldfish. :doh ANYWAY! Dolpa 18 website is up!

The only thing of interest so far is the list of the DD and MDD who will be sold at Dolpa 18. I believe they are all rereleases, but as I'm not really familiar with DD, someone may need to correct me on that.

So we should be stalking the site from tomorrow, basically. :dance

This may sound silly, but how does one go about ordering one of the dolls? I am really wanting Hina but I have never ordered a LE from Volks before so I am lost....

Suigintou (SD13) and Hana Ichigo (YoSD) are being sold on the TBS site (see above links!) in limited sets of 50 on December 25th. That said, it looks like they will be sold at Dolpa 18 in the usual manner, the same as Suiseiseki and Souseiseki, and at the After Event as well. (I can't be sure of this, as the only Volks News scan is poor quality and hard to read, but it looks like it.) Suigintou is 102,900yen, and yes she does come with the wings. Hina Ichigo is 60,900yen and yes, she comes with the KunKun plushie. (tax included for both)

The SD17 and SDC are definitely from Puss in Boots! The SD17 boy is Alain. The SDC is a girl and her name is Renee. Alain would appear to be the miller's youngest son and Renee the kitty cat, though why she is a girl, who can say?
Alan is 126,000yen, Lune is 58,800yen. (tax included)

ETA: Apparently the info uploaded to the mobile website includes the full lineup, and our YoSD are rereleases of Chinatsu and Kuuta, same as LA Dolpa. :) They're 35,700yen each. (tax included)

There's several ways to get them, but your best bet would be to either enter the VolksUSA lottery (if she's available through it) or to get her from the online After Event.

The VolksUSA lottery is usually held at the same time as Dolpa is, and usually open for several days, and you can enter at any time during those days. A few weeks later, they will announce the lottery winners. It's usually a fairly decent number of people who win the lottery, so it's a good bet. The dolls aren't shipped until about 2 months later.

If you fail in the lottery, you can try the online After Event via the volks.co.jp website. Approx 3-4 weeks after Dolpa they will offer all the dolls and items via the website at a set time that they'll announce in advance. The problem with this is the dolls are limited in number, and everyone is trying at the same time. So 1) the chance of getting it in your cart can be slim and 2) Volks' servers can never handle the load and tend to crash for hours. So you get a lot of 503 errors. It can be hugely frustrating. But is the next best bet after the VolksUSA lottery. If you get the doll at the AE, they'll be shipped within a few days.

After that, your best bet is probably Yahoo! Japan Auctions, where you'll unfortunately pay scalper prices.

However queuing up at Dolpa 18 itself (or asking someone to) is not recommended as it's really a crap shot and generally a waste of a large number of hours. >_>; There's thousands of people in the queue and only a few hundred dolls so the chances of getting a good number are pretty slim.

Someone will (or should) announce info about the VolksUSA lottery and the After Event here, whenever it's announced. :)

the Channel H sets are two different prices (20,000yen and 25,000yen) and if you look at the pics, one has more items than the others. So I'm guessing one is the "deluxe" version, heh. Or, could be two different sizes, also. There won't be more pics until either Volks puts them up or someone scans them from the Volks News or Guidebook. :oops

One more for the night - the After Event is apparently January 12-14th according to the Guidebook, so approximately 3 weeks after Dolpa. :)

Also mentioned: the next Kyoto Dolpa is apparently March 16th, the next Tokyo Dolpa is either April 27th or May 5th. There is also apparently another Dress Fair on the 15th of this month. Gah. Because we aren't poor enough as it is. :doh

I don't think the Anarchy is a reissue. From the tiny pic, it looks like it has a tie, a long sleeved white shirt, and a jacket. The Anarchy for SD13 boy had a short-sleeved shirt with attaching collar and no jacket. The rest may be similar, but not the same. The PB&J looks similar, I do agree. The Sixh (IBI) looks similar to the Anarchy for SD16 boy but the shoes are definitely not the same, for starters, and the rest is too difficult to make out.
(Not that I've been, y'know, staring at the h.naoto thumbnails all night or anything... :doh)

The VolksUSA has a lottery event at the same time as Dolpa 18. It runs for a few days to a week around the time of Dolpa, and results are usually announced before the international AE so that if you fail in the lottery you can try in the international AE. It's generally for the dolls and super-limited outfits (ie the h.naoto stuff). The other general outfits from Dolpa 18 usually hit VolksUSA separately about a month later, I think, and are just first come first serve. Note that all VolksUSA items are for North American residents only (US and Canada) so if you're not in North America you can only go for the international AE, unless you have a US friend willing to put in.

Things of note:
Suigintou and the three YoSD are not listed as having KIPS, while Alain and Renee are. However, this is most likely an error on Volks' part; they often make small mistakes like this on their websites. I'll keep an eye for an update or verify it when the dolls come out, but for now I've reflected this information on the English pages.
All of the dolls are available to be bought at Dolpa 18 and the After Event, with the exception of Renee: Renee will not be available at the physical After Event. So if you're in Japan and want to get Renee at the AE, don't go to the stores, they won't have her. However the online Japanese AE will have Renee available, so I assume this will apply for the online international AE as well. I know, it's confusing!! :oops
I am totally and completely not familiar with Rozen Maiden at all, and as such I possibly translated parts of the stories a little incorrectly (or got terms wrong) for Suigintou and Hinaichigo. If anyone knows the story better and is able to correct me, I will be very grateful. :D

Oh, and the AE is most definitely January 12-14. :D

Oh my I love Hina so much! But there is another doll being released that I want too. I can only get one. Oh I am so sad about this and I don't know how to choose! Hina is super cute and sweet. What an angel. I love her as Yo and think she is perfect myself. But, I don't any of the other Rozen dolls so I guess scale wouldn't bother me too much.

On a different note, I am eager to see all the other outfits they are releasing (aside form the h. NAOTO. I always love Volks clothes.

This page has now been updated with info and pics for all the outfits, shoes, wigs, DD parts etc being sold at Dolpa 18. It's basically all the stuff I listed and translated item names of earlier. :) Click on any of the item names to go to a page with thumbnails then any thumbnail will get you the pic of that item. Note that the kimono sets (http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/event/dolpa18/sumika_dc.html) are the same ones that were sold at LA Dolpa. It says that they are handmade by Asoyim who is apparently one of their most popular clothing designers who often makes clothes for their Sato One-Offs. Apparently these items will be sold in limited numbers at Dolpa 18 only -- they will not be available at the After Event except for at Sato itself.

Looks like just like at the last couple of Dolpas they are having a special exhibition booth which will have a very pretty display of the Dolpa 18 story arc LEs - Alain and Renee from Puss in Boots. If this is anything like the previous Dolpas where they had these booths, they will have special one-offs of these dolls that are available via lottery, but there's no info on the page yet. However this was done for both previous major Tokyo Dolpas (Dolpa 16 had two special Amelia one-offs for the Amelia/Kurt release, Dolpa 17 had special Reisner and Cecile the Scarface one-offs for the Reisner release) so I'd expect the same will apply. :) I hope they post pics soon, these one-offs are always particularly gorgeous! :heart

They're having a special event for people who own one-off dolls with faceups by Valico! :D How random is that? *laugh* Last time they had one of these it was for Nono owners, and they had a special board for them to post up pics and messages, and also gave them a special present. (Although I have no idea what it was!) It says that they will be doing the same for this one. :) The Nono board was taken back to Sato to be displayed for all fans to see, and the same will be done for this one. :)

I reckon only the really rich and impatient people are going to pay that much for her. I could be wrong, but that's my opinion as her availability is much higher than Shinku or Kurumi ever was.

I am getting the impression she is very limited due to the fact she won't be at the physical after events, nor was she even offered to the two external USA Volks dealers. She was also the first to sell out. I've never heard of any Dolpa doll being so exclusive as that.

And of course it figures that my husband and I really love her. However, I will not pay 2x her original value, let alone the 3x and 4x she is going for on auction! Wish me luck in the Volks USA lottery... I'm going to need it.

Well, I emailed Volks and asked if they plan to re-release her. Their reply was : "We are so sorry but currently we do not have any plan of re-release. If we do, we will let you know on our web site.". :(

It's a real bummer. I think Renee is quite cute but I don't think I'll own her. Way too expensive.
