Basically, I'm interested in Elf Doll Mir and wondering about him, information, can you point me out to threads about him, or maybe just pictures of him without the resin 'wig' (does that come off?) He's cute. :) I'm interested in the larger male type dolls, any suggestions of dolls which would go along well with Mir if I got him? Thanks! :yey

I have Mir. The resin hair is the headcap on that head. The one I have came with a regular head, too- so that one can wear wigs. I don't know if the standard one comes with both heads or if that is an option for them.
There are several photos of my Mir Twins (Kenjiro and Benjiro) at the link below-- sorta down the page. Some of the wigged one and some with other dolls, since you asked who he could display with. The "spare" head is on a body that doesn't match very well but is better than a head-on-a-stick! ;)

welcome back! I know what you mean about how boards can become a little snipey and cliche...but from what I have read here...that doesn't really happen, or else the moderators do a great job of cleaning it up. I have found this board to be brimming with tons of creativity and tons of information! Great information! I hope you enjoy your time here. Cheers!

The Standard Mir has a resin wig or standard BJD head (i.e. can wear regular wigs) option. You get one or the other, not both. The resin wig doesn't go on the standard head, it's like a "headpiece" all its own. I got a standard Mir with a standard head recently. I'm not a big fan of the resin wig - it looks too fake and like an action figure to me.
