I've seen the My Gen horses at Target, and I was wondering of they can work for the 60cm dolls, of if they're best suited to the minis. Anyone have one?
ETA: If they aren't the right scale, can anyone recommend one that isn't horribly expensive or hard to get?
If they're the horses I am thinking about that I have seen at Target, they're best suited for minis. SDs would look like they were riding small ponies.

I think that you are pretty much out of luck for finding an SD sized horse. The My Gen ones from memory are about 20 inches and are like American Girl/Battat/Saddle club horses. They work well for MSD's but as it has been said, an Sd looks like they are riding a pony not a horse.
Though that could work if you are looking to put the character on a pony. ;)
This is a picture of Alia (MSD) on a Saddle Club horse which is 20 inches tall to give you an idea of scale.

25 inches could work. Got a pic of your doll on it?

I just recently learned of the 'My Twinn' horses at a doll meet, they had a few there. They are a nice size for SD dolls. My Lucius has already demanded that I get him one. (sigh)

Oooh, good info to know. XD The My Twinn horse appears to be flocked -- is that correct?

It is.
I wish it wasn't (Non-flocked would make it easier to have one in another color... They only come in brown on the site. 8P), but at least the flocking seems to hold up pretty well to general wear and tear.

My friend has a horse...but it kinda looks a little different, but i think its the same one. My chaim was going to kill me for putting him in a dress >_>
i've seen this one at target and it came in black or white, and theres no fur on it, just pained nicely

Do the other My Twinn accessories also fit a bjd, such as bed?

Has anyone had any luck finding a horse that wasn't flocked? Is there anyway to remove or seal flocking so you can paint over it?

I don't know about their beds but I have a sleeping bag. Length-wise it's great but it's quite wide (two dolls fit in it nicely), so I'd presume the beds would fit but be a bit on the wide side (king size bed?).

I'd love to know this as well. Flocking is nice but sometimes you don't want it on things.
