Is there any way to figure out this site?
Yes, Resinality.
I cannot find anything! I mean, general discussion, found.
Anything like markets, or doll discussions... not there. Are there none to be found?
When the site asks me for my "user groups" ... I have no idea what it wants from me.
I am not techie. So is there any kind of help out here or should I just cancel my membership and go elsewhere?
Hello! If you want to access user groups, you can follow this help link (http://www.abjds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34). It's very straight forward. I think Resinality included this feature so you can filter out anything that doesn't apply to your field of interests.
I believe the forum also has a rule about accessing the marketplace. You have to have been a member for at least 7 days and have made at least 25 posts. It's for security reasons.
Hope this helps! ;)

It takes a certain number of posts to get into the Marketplace so you won't see that until you reach that number of posts (I don't recall off hand how many it is ^^; )
As for the User Groups, you go into your User Control Panel and go to Group Memberships under the Miscellaneous Secton, each User Group is listed there and you can add the groups that are right for you, each of them say specifically what they are so hopefully that is helpful ^_^ When you decide a group to join click the "Join Group" button and scroll down and hit the join group button at the bottom of that section. You can only join one group at a time so keep at it until you've joined all the groups that interest you.
After you join the groups, you'll find them down the page a bit under the section in User Groups entitled "Your User Groups" Until you join the groups you won't see any subforums there.
I hope that helps!

Hi Freya! Sorry to hear that you're having problems! :oops
Most doll discussion goes on in the User Groups, which some kind users have already given you help with. :)
There's a link on the main page of the forum about gaining Market access (http://www.abjds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66) but basically you just need 7 days and 25 posts. :)
You can also find the Rules (http://www.abjds.com/forum/rules.php) in the top navbar of every page, which tells you more (hopefully) about the site overall!
And you're welcome to contact an Admin/Mod (http://www.abjds.com/forum/showgroups.php) at any time if you're unsure about anything!
I hope that you can find something in the site that you like and will stick around. :)

don't give up~! You have to post 25 times and wait a week...that's why you see me with so many responses in the last several days, because I have already passed the week point (that could be meant as weak as well.) but I need to get the right number of posts in there to gain access to the market...then the real fun (or trouble) begins. Hang in there!
