Selling for others in the marketplace?

I know this is sort of a strange question, but I was wondering it there was a policy about selling items for other people in the marketplace? I know people sometimes sell dolls or items for friends because the owners don't have access to certain places or don't know how to list the items, and I was wondering if that would be allowed here, as long as the person actually posting the market thread had the item in their possession when they listed it. Thanks!

If you've got the item in your possession and you're conducting the sale (and shipping it out), then it's all well and good, and it doesn't matter if you're going to pass the proceeds on to a friend. :) See the Rules (http://www.abjds.com/forum/rules.php#rule5):
The Market does not allow pre-sale of any items not currently in your possession. Please only sell items that you have in your own house.

Thank you! I saw that part in the rules, but there was nothing specific about selling for others, so I thought I'd double-check just to be sure.
