and another pair "Feather" now are a pale shade of violet instead of pur white.:damnit
just wondered if anyone else has had this problem?

Strange! One of my dolls has been using a pair of Masterpiece eyes (Custom Mauve in 17mm) for over a year now and I do not detect any noticable change.
Perhaps you should email Masterpiece about this and inquire if it is normal.

If the eyes were exposed to sunlight it could explain some color change, but it sounds a bit drastic and might be better off contacting masterpiece and asking if it's due to sunlight exposure or just normal "aging" of the eyes.

If it's the soft glass eyes, color change has been noted by several owners. As with acrylic doll eyes, they're capable of changing or fading colors over time. On the brown pair I own the "whites" of the eyes have slowly yellowed over the past several years.
I have had several pairs that the pupil blew out and they were replaced by the company.

I have a pair of 14mm grey-blue masterpiece eyes. WHile I've noticed the colors may have softened some over time, I haven't seen any color changes, though I try to keep direct sunlight from coming into contact with my dolls as a general rule anyway.
I agree with a previous poster, I'd contact Masterpiece and ask if it might be a result of UV exposure or perhaps a flaw in the making of the eye.
