I am working on a wig care entry for the Wiki and I was curious if anyone had tips on caring for, washing, styling, or storing faux fur wigs and mohair wigs.
So, any tips? ^_^

I own a fur wig from Lati Doll, and it's much easier to take care of than my other wigs. I usually just spray it with the Volks Oil Wig Spray to give it a sleeker or shinier look. It is definitely more resilient and easier to style than my other wigs.
I wash my mohair wigs with shampoo, condition them, comb them and sometimes use a little mousse to make the curls stay together more. When they get frizzy sometimes you can just spritz them with water to make the curls stick together again.
For mohair, generally I just soak it with water, get out my hair dryer and shake it while I am drying it. If you brush it with a wig brush it gets frizzy and if you use a wide toothed comb it will work really well for getting any tangles but might separate the curls too much. Generally though, water and MAYBE a tiny bit of conditioner when needed is enough to tame mohair.

It would be nice to find out if there's a way to impart a little more "hairness" to some fur-fabric wigs. You know the ones, that look more like long carpeting fibers than hair fibers! I was thinking of some kind of conditioner (haven't tried any of the Volks sprays).
