Hello!

I would really like to get a Oceanmoon Shou Ryou and would love hear reviews and see photos of current owners of the Oceanmoon's work. Thank you for your help and input! :flowers

I can never rave enough about Oceanmoon, so I'll just post my .02$ from elsewhere.

She's the absolutely most wonderful person to deal with ever! I used to own a first edition (that I didn't buy from her), but I sold it and now have two third edition heads and a close friend of mine owned a second edition for a bit. Not only are they all beautiful their quality is amazing and the resin is a perfect Volks match.

On top of that, I've personally talked to Oceanoom on several occasions while in the process of ordering my new heads. She's absolutely the most friendly person I've ever dealt with in the doll hobby. We talked about our hobbies and why we love dolls.

She also sent went out of her way to send me a special tea from Korea that I'd been wanting with my heads. It was the same blooming flower tea that was sent off to the special auction heads only, but she got some for me anyway.

Anyway, all I have to say is that Oceanmoon has made me love my new boys much more than I could think possible, because she was such an amazing person during my order. I do plan on buying another Oceanmoon doll and depending on future sculpts, I would love to buy more <3

Thank you for your review ^^ I am curious also because I can't find the information on it - what is the eye size for Shou-Ryu?

Shou-Ryu's eye size is 16mm but you can also use 17-8mm or 14-5mm depending on the company. I agree with omichao that Oceanmoon is hounestly the nicest person I've seen in the doll hobby. I have the Final Edtion of Shou-Ryu and I must say that the sculpt is amazing. Shou-Ryu's expression seems to change with every small glance. It's very pleasing. Hes also such a stunner when it comes to photography. ....I only wish I could spend a humble day in Oceanmoon's Studio watching them create these beauties *sniff*.....

BAck on eyes: My babe uses Eyeco 17mm Platinum Glass eyes which gives him and older but none the less serious childlike expression. The size can also just make him seem much older than he really is as seen in this picutre

The only downside to this is that if you don't set his eyes at an angle, up front, close and personal photographs can make him seemed shocked (I have a picture to prove this but I can't find it right now...)
You might want to try 15mm if you want your doll to always stare directly ahead without seeming shocked but I find it more pleasing to the eye when you use the 16-7mm eyes and set the pupil slightly off the center a bit...

Super major congrats! Just make sure you have a body ready for him (if you do already then bonus too you!)...I remember I cried everyday for two whole weeks waiting for the body to arrive then when it came I was reluctant to put the head on...It was so lovely holding his head in my hands...I used to pretend to eat his nose :oops and he'd give me that "Oh no, not again!" look! :p
Ha ha, thouse were the days....:nod

Congratulations to you for ordering Shou-ryu, Sakura! I'm sure you'll love him. OceanMoon is really the sweetest person to deal with. She was so kind while I waited to order my Shou-ryu.

I've had him for months now, and taken sadly few pictures of him. ^^;; He's a v.2, and his name is Kylin.
